Mix 3 is the third mini album released which combines elements of EDM and Rock Music. The drums are a synthesized blend of 808, 909 and traditional drum synthesis. The bass and other sounds are also synth while Joe plays 7 string distorted guitar and also records the vocals.

The lyrics range from candidly referring to himself as an Average Joe Shmoe to being about werewolves, vampires and ghosts. There is sort of a sound aura that is somewhat dark and gothic but it is also very grunge like in a soulful way.

Mix 3 was first pre-released to BandCamp about a week ago. Within a couple days he had already replaced a song with new vocal work recorded onto it. Joe often finds that he gains another psychological perspective in pre-releasing his music online that leads to slight adjustments being made and re-uploaded within a few days. This is even after having gone through countless listens in different environments, such as in the car or with different headphones in different rooms of his apartment. Vecchio explains it in this way:

“No matter how much I think a set of songs is complete it’s always after I have already given a copy to a friend or put them online that I find myself making a change or 2 that just all of a sudden has to be done because it just sticks out like a sore thumb all of sudden. I guess the psychological phenomenon of knowing someone else is listening to it makes you think different slightly, without even receiving any feedback. I wish it weren’t like this but it seems it’s just part of my process these days.”
